Hi MrYooper,Hopefully we can learn a little something from each carving as we progress,sometimes not. Anyways with that said I feel it"s a never ending learning exsperence and there will always be something you wish you would have done a little differently.

Some times I look at a finished carving and think I didn't carve enough or detailed enough but most of the time, I painted to much. By going to carving shows, I seea varity of difference stages of carving pieces where some looks very crude but neat and others just perfect. yet to much paint or not enough.

Whoever the lady was Paul, she was correct in her answer.
In this year, I have several goals and hopefully, I will accomplish them in my carving.
