Default Saving Lives

I'm walking through the cow pasture. Beautiful morning, 65, sun shining, wind at my back. Through the rustling of dry grasses I hear the whispering...psssst...psssst. How strange, I'm all alone...must be just losing my mind, nothing new about that. "psssst, hey !" Sound seems to be coming from that big old tree over there. I'm in no hurry, so I walk on over. That can't possibly be a face I see in that tree !?!?.
"You have to help me" it says.
"No doubt", I'm thinking...that's a bad hair day! "So I give...what's the problem?"
"I'm stuck out here all alone, in the middle of a field. Nobody to talk to. The Sun in my face, wind in my hair. Worst of all, the cows keep licking me. Why just look at my serious cowlicked hair !"
Oh to have such menial problems I'm thinking. "So what is it you'd like me to do about it", I ask.
"Just take me home, be my friend, and help me find a companion."
"Wall space is pretty tight at my place. What do I get in exchange?" I say.
" I have little to offer, just friendship, and a smile to brighten your morning as you walk on by."
There's an arguement that's difficult to deny. "So then, welcome to my humble abode "

I don't know which I enjoyed more, the carving or the story! Nicely done! On both!

You gave me the willies with that story. Goosebumps all over the place!

Heh heh, good one, and a pretty good carving as well.

Great story...I hope it's shareware as I'd like to repeat it to my woodspirit customers. The hair has a unique look, and the rest turned out very nicely as well.

You can use my stories anytime. It's what I call sugarcoated carving...if the carving isn't spectacular, make it more interesting with a good story.
