Default Santa's, critiques welcome

I finished two santa's this weekend. Got the paint on them today. One is more traditional the other is another old world santa for my wife. I think it is a great improvement over last year's old world santa.

Let me know what you think. Good, Bad and the Ugly, so to speak. I think the only way to get better is to hear good, honest thoughts from those who know what they like to see.

Go ahead, stroke my ego! Ha.

Scott

Ok the old world Santa is excellent I really like him, that little sucker that is ready to fight is very good you had better let him see so he can at least hit back when he gets into a fight ..

Thumbs up Re: Santa's, critiques welcome

Scott .. I really like the old world Santa ... You have given him a kind of dark look that makes him mysterous ... I like your antiqueing on him ..

I believe you did a excellent job on him ..

As for the comical Santa ..He also is very good .. but in a different way .. I like the way you covered his eyes .. very effective to his character ... and the hands are comical in nature to his looks .. good job ..

Your painting is very good on both ..

Gene

Scott,
I like them both but especially the old world santa. Very different in the painting from what we usually see. I really like the soft tones gives a very different look. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I like both of them as well. I would have liked to see last years santa to see how you've improved. My one thought would have been to make the OW Santa's arms a bit larger. But still, a very nice job!
