Marci,

Don't forget to post a few picture for us all to see....Wish you the best in your newly found passion......

In the holiday section of this board you'll also find two members patterns that I feel you could do with with dremel, look through the silly santa post and another one from santa with child done by don from wilson, you can print out both patterns.

Goodluck and fun.

Marci I echo the comments made here Santa's are an addiction I have the addiction although I am still not very good at them. I would really ECHO the comment get a good knife. You dont have to spend a fortune on them. My advise is to contact Rick at Little Shavers he is a regular on this board. He is a great person and wonderful to do business with he would be the best to advise you on a starter knife or kit. Good luck we cant wait to see some results.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm working hard on trying to invest in knives.

I tried a coupla times to download those patterns. I have adobe in here..but it keeps saying theres nothing for it to open. Nothing else I have in this pute will open those patterns either. I'm a little stumped on how to fix that problem.

Here is the very first Santa I've ever carved. I've done four since. They are all ornaments. The snowman is in the same picture for a post I asked about stain down in the beginners forum.

suggestions welcome.
