Default Santa is Finally Finished

I started this Santa December 12th at a class held by Rex Branson in Roswell, NM. Rex designed and sculpted the sculpture in front of the Roswell Adult Center, and he was back to make some repairs. It wasn't protected for the first few years, so cracks and fading had appeared.

Photo #1 is the sculpture in front of the Roswell Adult Center.
Photo #2 shows three people at the class. There were five of us who came on the spur of the moment.
Photos #3-4 show my completed Santa. Rex provided the roughout and allowed us to use his big tools. Only two of us had tools for working on something bigger than 10 inches high.
Photo #5 shows the local denizen who helped us find the adult center.

Rex has been a contributer to WCI in the past. Here is his contact information for those interested.

We had a great time and learned a lot. I had never worked from a roughout before, and it was an experience. Thanks to Rex!

Really nice Santa, Joggernot. How big is it?

That local denizen reminds me of the time I was wandering around Nevada looking for a jobsite where I was supposed to have a meeting. I drove by the cutoff to Area 51, and a mile or so down the road was the Little Alie-Inn.

This is about 13 inches high. The Little Alie-Inn is famous because of location and the people who go there.
