Default Santa

I ran across this little fellow while re-arranging Mary's sewing and painting room and thought some of you might enjoy seeing it. It is or at least was in Engler's Block at Branson, Missouri and I have no idea who carved it or when. Some of you who live near there may be able to furnish more info. I just thought it was worth posting. Mary said she would need a tall ladder to paint something like that.

Now that is what I call a Santa! Wow! Impressive to say the least. Seen some Outstanding carvings before but that one is Outstanding. Yep, It would take a tall person to paint that on without a ladder. Wonder how long it took to carve and paint?

I think that was carved by Jessie Kuhs who used to live and carve in Branson. He learned his carving from Pete Engler - lucky guy.

I have one of Jessie's 14" Santas here at home - lucky woman
