Default Sailors Chess Set

Here is something I did a few years ago after I first started carving. It has been put up and forgotten about for a long time but seeing all of Simons little guys made remember it. I was trying to follow Keith Randich's book "Carving the little Sailors". I had alot of fun doing it and it kept me busy for a long time. Just thought I would share it.

Safe Carving and God Bless,

Mark

I have never seen that before Mark. That is really neat and one heck of a lot of carving and painting! Nice job on finishing it!

They look brilliant Mark! That's a real mission carving 32 pieces! Love the rooks, bishops and knights ideas, I think they're always gonna be the hardest to portray and relate too. Great!
I thought they looked a bit like a foreign navy,........ maybe East European........... are they Czech mate?

Thanks all for taking time to check out my sailors.

Corey, Curt, Joy, and Robert, thanks for the kind words.

Joy, I didn't think about it then but had I to do it differently I would have made either a nurse or a mermaid possibly.

Simon, thanks for "Czeching" it out. Some how I knew you would have something creative to say.

Safe Carving and God Bless

Mark
