Default Sabol Roughout

Two weeks ago I did a two day David Sabol seminar, boy does his "Nature Series" of carvings ever beautiful in person, he had about a dozen on hand for us to view....Anyway, I'm working on one of two roughouts I purchased, this one is his "Squirrel on a Mushroom" piece, carving is done along with the woodburning, painting will be tonight if I have time.

Hope you enjoy, have fun carving, and I'll post another pic when painted, which is going to be a bigger challenge I feel. Bill

Hey Bill,
I love the carving. So cute. And so well done. Sabol has so much movement and expression in his carvings. Was it a 2-day or a 5-day workshop? I had him several years ago, but have have signed up for a 2-day, weekend, workshop in Springfield MO next month. Don't know what he's got for small projects now.
