Default Running after Forrest!!! 1:6 scale

I started this venture just to see if I could do it. I ended up with the following story to tell, so look out Forrest, I am running after your wolves!

I took these pictures of the litter of pups I found while checking the mail. They are full of themselves and playing with everything. Nothing is safe with these little dogs. Not sure if they are from the same litter since they differ in size, coloration and features. Anyone that does rescues knows that their house is marked, cause everyone know where to dump their furry kids.

I had 6 to start with but only have 3 left. I am going to try them on Ebay or Etsy to see how they go. They are pegged and have fully moveable legs. The first one up for adoption is the dark walnut colored one in the front of the group, obviously a weinie mix. She does tricks as shown.

Forrest, old buddy, look out cause the dogs are after your wolves!
Marci, thanks for encouraging me to post these here and all your info on 1/6 scale dolls.

I forgot to say, I made everything except the water dispenser. I made the leads, the little glass plates the dogs are eating out of. The chips they are playing in are of course from carving them. They are from black walnut and an exotic wood that slips my mind right now. The weinie is the longest of course at an inch and a half.

Hey I think you did a good job carving your little dogs myself. I like em.

Good work Wanda.

Forrest

P.S Seeing you mention my name here.Dont wont to sound bad here, but with my name "Run Forrest Run"you better get you a fast car for your little dogs and you to catch me. Your dogs are neat, keep them coming, its a pleasure seeing them.

P.S.S. My little Twilight wolves are 1/8 to 1/4 wide and 3/4 tall and 3/4 long{blocks to start carving them out of} I dont know much about doll scales all I want with my little guys is to look great on a charm bracelet.

P.S.S.S You could make alot of different types dogs or even cats, most everyone owns one of thoses where people would have more to choose from if you planning on trying to sell any.

Wanda, my fingers would be hamburger by the time I finished that many small carvings! I don't see how you and Forrest do it without cutting yourselves but then, my thumb nails are bigger than most of your carvings!LOL.

Wanda, those are entirely too cute. And I'm with Millard: my fingers would be hamburger. I'll stick with things 2" or more in size. For now, at least.

Still, you did an excellent job on those lil pups. And their legs move! Fantastic.

my hand would be hamburger number three.... Wanda I love the fact that the legs move. The only thing I would improve is the eyes, ... now saying that, I honestly do not know what I would do? and perhaps they need to stay like that being so small. Perhaps a reversal in all black eyes with a dot of white. or something....now I am blank trying to look for words. It just that if you could punch a simple eye with a dot of black, perhaps... it would make the value of your piece up. oh heck just ignore me...crazy mixed up artist is all I am... Di

Forrest, It would take a lot of running to even get close to your Twilight wolves. I am in awe of them. They are so tiny.
I am not sure why I tried them other than someone wanting them to go with their Hitty doll collection. Right now, I am experimenting with different sizes , shapes, wood type and such.

I am really trying to perfect the looks. Not there yet. With so many other eyes on the board, I thought maybe some critics would help me make them better.
Thanks for looking and giving me more ideas. Kitty cats hadn't hit me yet. Hmmm.

Millard, You made me laugh about hamburger fingers. I have been ok so far, but I wear a glove and thumb guard too. I worked on making tiny dog bowls and water bowls today as well as a pup out of yellow heart wood.
Thanks for looking and commenting.

Jim, I have to be real careful with these tiny ones. I have gouged myself with a tiny pointed diamond burr while fine sanding their joints. But so far no hamburger. (I may have just jynxed that one).
Yeah, they are pegged and their legs move independantly of each other.
Thanks for your kind words.

No Dileon, I won't ignore your critic. How else can we improve on our carvings if others don't tell us something they see that could be made better? I appreciate the comment, that's why I posted them and asked for comments.
Thanks so much for your honest and open critic.
