Default Rose on Picture trail

Finally finished with the little bride's rose. It is on Picture trail under other stuff. IT was a purchased blank and finished with Seminole Green for leaves, Cranberry Wine for rose and base coat of dapper Grey with a wash top coat of dark grey for branches. Finish is several coats of paste floor wax, dried and buffed in between coats. Little bride has been waiting a long time for this one. :

Kenny nice rose I wish I was talented enough to carve something as delicate as a rose.

Thank you for the kind words. This rose was a labor of love as the others were quite different than this one. My little bride gave suggestions and was really critical of my progress. Critical in a good way though. Now my daughter ones one just like moms but I have news for her, I can not carve to pieces the same. But will carve andother one for her sort of like her mothers'.
Thanks again!

I forgot to mention, The rose was carved from a pattern by Nancy Workman. Sorry Nancy for not mentioning/posting the credit to you.

Default How do I get to the 'picture trail' ???

Shows how new I am here. I've been clicking on the little yellow print links everyone has in their posts, to see the albums...but I don't see a link on Kenny S's post.

Default Thanks...

Just took a short visit. WOW!...so many nice carvings there. That's a very pretty rose you did Kenny . I'll have to go back and browse when I get time.
What are the pics called 'museum shots' ? ....it says if you recognize any of these carvings let them know.... I saw a santa on a polar bear in #2...I've done that pattern before, the pattern is by Carolyn wolf, don't know who carved THAT EXACT piece though.
