Ian Norbury book "Relief Carving and Lettering" has a rose in it that is very nice almost perfectly 3d though and looks difficult.

Floral Wood Carving by Mack Sutter has a relief pattern of a rose in it that looks quite nice too. If you are interested let me know I will scan it for you.

To add to the other postings of books, You might try "Carving Realistic Flowers in Wood" By Wanda Marsh. Has a in the round Rose, hibiscus, morning Glory and step by step instructions. Not only patterns and instruction of those flowers, but how to paint them also.
Great flower Carver and Book.

Check out my gallery;there are several rose carvings to look at. I've attached two to view on this forum.
I designed the love spoon. It would fit right in for valentines day. There are lots of pictures in the spring flower catalogs for making your own patterns.

Hi Claude,
I don't have a web site. Only the Gallery on WCI. I'm not sure how you can view them. I opened up carving Galleries & clicked on search. Typed in chipncut & my gallery popped up. I copied & pasted the address bar to this reply.
I hope it Works. Dick Mobster
