Would still stick you with its thorns <grin> Here is a second rose cabachon that I have carved for the ladies at the bead shop, it will be incorporated into a necklace/pendant entirely handmade of many beads like the one I posted some time ago A Rose by any other name I hope this new one works out as well as that one did, I will try for some snaps once it is completed. Thanks for looking. Regards John

Nice miniature. Interesting to note that one of our "toonies" made it half way around the world. For those unfamiliar with the coin, it is about 1-1/16" or 27mm in diameter.

Good job!, expecially in miniature. I have found roses particularly difficult to carve. Mine tend to look like cinnamon buns

It's a rippa John. I saw how the last one turned out and I expect this one will be as good or better. Where the heck did the coin come from?

Very, very nicey done. Wow, interesting coin for size comparison. As it turns out I have one of those in my pocket everyday along with all my U.S. coinage. It's there to remind me of my first trip to Wild Rose Country in Alberta with my wife in 1982. Ron Eugene, OR

Very nicely done on a very tiny miniature. You must have steady hands for that paint.

Thanks Eric for looking and commenting........... Dicky, glad you enjoyed this, the coin is a reminder of our wonderful trip to Canada in 2004..... Papajohn, I appreciate the nice words......Cinnamon buns are good too, but don't think the girls would wear them around their necks <grin> Thanks for looking and commenting Josef, was in Canada in 2004 and brought a few coins back.................. NW29........Appreciate your taking time to look and comment, thanks Ron T, as always my friend, I appreciate your interest, yes the rose is a bit small but I think it took nearly as long to paint as it did to carve. Dave, thankyou for taking the time to look and your nice comment. Thanks again to all John
