Default Root, Rootspirit

Since there's a few post on found wood I just had to post this little guy "The rootspirit" He begged me to get out of there...I just love found wood...I also carved a little snake out of a piece of root I found the other day. They all can be seen on the link bellow.

Those are cool carvings! I love your blog! What your wife does with dog hair is amazing! My dog Molly got kind of excited hearing you dogs. She's half lab and there was a husky running around her moms neighborhood. She sure sounds like one. Good stuff on your blog!

If you didn't tell me that was a root I would have thought it was a horn from an animal. Ya there is something about found wood that appeals to people. Nice carving.

Hey Carl - thanks for sharing the blog link. That is so cool that your wife uses the Husky wool to make products. We have one Husky - Denali (Nali for short) and she's been the best dog. I've often thought what a waste when she's blowing out her coat and saw all that fur fly away in the wind. I never realized it could actually be harvested like lambs wool. Very neat. I LOVE Huskies - especially their vocalizations.

Cheers from a few hours south of you in NY.

Thanks RonT
ChuckT, We love being there and brushing them reminds me of wide and wild open spaces up-north.
You can keep that sub fur and send it in and my wife will make wool that your wife could knitt and make something very special like a pair of mitts a chullo or a scarf.
About their vocalizations I could sit there at time and just listen...it is special when 250 Huskies start talking, just visualize a full moon a they just go crazzy...
Now you will see Denali with a diff. eye...lol
From a few hours North of you in QC.Cheers
