Default :a Ring:

Slowly worked on this curley maple block till I carved a ring out of it.

Just something different to do.

Its doesnt fit me but maybe later I will carve a bigger one that does fit me.

Thanks for looking.

Carl theres so many things that can be carved in wood, inside this block of maple there was a ring. Later when I have more time I will carve a nice one that fits me.

Just something I wanted to try is how this ring came about.

Thanks buddy and Im gald you liked it.

That's a great ring for a man, my friend and you did a beautiful job on with the side leaves and big "H" on it!! I am really sorry it doesn't fit you 'cause it would look great on those talented hands of yours. I think I'd cry if I made one and it didn't fit me, but I know you were just practicing. You can whip one up just about anytime you want... For me, it would be a 3-day project. LOL Bonnie

Hey my friend,Bonnie!! No the " H " stands for Honeydo's cause my wife said I spent too much time playing carving this ring!! But I wasnt really in the mood to carve something big. The block of maple was small to start with is why I couldnt make the ring bigger. I had cut up a bunch of that maple into blocks to have on hand to carve my little maple Twilight wolves out of.

Wish I had some pretty wood which I could carve a bigger ring with some beautifull grains in it even thoug in your hand you can see the nice ripples in this maple.I call it water maple than curley maple.

The main thing its good practice relief carving everything in it which later my come in handy.

Crazy weather here as as Im typing this!! Hope you are now planning on playing some base ball this year cause I know with your renewed health you are hitting a home run with how you are now feeling!! Gosh that so good!'

Thanks my ole buddy for your nice thoughts here for I appreciate them and you.

Forrest

P.S I started this ring about 23 yrs ago,No thats the ringing in my head!!! Time for my noon meds I think.
