Did I read somewhere that you sharpen knives for people? Would you have time to and be willing to sharpen some if I sent them to you? Â*I can only get mine so-so... Kris |

Rick, What do you use to sharpen the tools... tormek, grinding wheel, by hand??? Just curious. I bought a tormek about a month ago and have not had any sharpening problems since. Mostly all I need to do now is just strop the edges. |

Jim, I use the 'John Burke' sharpener for all my sharpening. It requires a little experience to use, but is much quicker (for my requirements) than other systems. Last week I sharpened 102 tools from a carving group; I estimate it took me about 4 hours. Â*With the variety and number of tools I sharpen, I just don't have time to make a setup. The Tormek is a high-quality tool and I am sure it has it's place, but not on my bench. If you do the math, that comes out to about 2-1/2 minutes per tool; but that includes repair of any tools that are loose or broken. |

And that two and a half minutes is time very well spent, judging from how great a job you did on my tools Rick, thanks again!! Callynne (a very happy, sharp tooled, carver! )

Wayne, The farthest south I have been is Arizona; the farthest east was North Carolina, and the farthest north is Alaska. The funny thing is, those trips were all related to wood carving. Texas will have to wait 1762 days until I retire from my day job. |

Rick, you just fell off the pedestal in my book! Anyone who can wait 1762 days to see Texas just doesn't have their priorities straight! |
