Default A Ribbon!

I got talked into entering a piece into competition at the Columbus Chippers annual show this weekend. I'm kinda new to carving (1 1/2 years), and never entered any competition. I gave the piece, "Whittlers Ararat" to a friend to enter. And he did. I expected him to enter the piece in the novice or intermediate competition. But he entered it into the advanced instead. To my utter suprise the piece took a second place ribbon.

Tom, it's easy to see why your buddy put the carving into a higher class. It's super and a good idea. I've seen lots of Noah's Ark carvings but never one showing it sitting in the mountains. Sure would like to see it in person.
