| | Rhapsody In Wood Just thought I would make sure you all know about the woodcarving show on 3/6/04 - 3/7/04 in Grapevine, Texas at the Convention Center.
I plan to be there and I am sure it will be a great time for competion, tool and carving sales and fun.
See ya there, |

| | Re: Rhapsody In Wood Was there this past June and Plan on going back to the area this coming June. Had the pleasure of spenting some time in Grapevine seeing the sights. Love the old town and the depot was interesting. Took a steam train ride to the old/new Forth Worth stock yards and back. Love the area. Probably stay in Bedford Tx again as it was centrally located for what we wanted to do. The Depot had an Aussie gentleman there making bronze statues. Had a gaint horse and riders and a bit of history with it.
Sorry to say, will not make the Mar carving show. Just my tough luck. |

| | | Re: Rhapsody In Wood Kenny S., the Grapevine Heritage Woodcarvers have a carve-in every Saturday morming at the Heritage Center next to the Depot. Steve Pescott usually is there every Saturday, along with other good carvers. They start early, and leave around noon, some stay longer. |

| | Re: Rhapsody In Wood I know Steve Prescott, well, Have met him at Rossetter's in Witchta, Ks. He has done several carvings for them. I was unfortunate that the Saturday we were there, The carvers weren't. Will try to visit the heritage Center and depot again this coming June. I enjoyed the visit with the Aussie Bronze guy and seeing his statues he had brobzed.
Thanks Tberry for the info though, As I did not find any other carvers ot carving store in Gapevine or Bedford where we stayed. Probably will stay at Bedford again as it was centrially located for what we want to do. Maybe this time will stay longer at the Old Fort Worth stockyards. To many shops to tour in a short time.
Thanks again | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
