Default RENEGADE WOODCARVERS ROUNDUP - Thursday

Thursday was Steve Brown day. I really didn't know a whole lot about Steve until this event. But after looking closely at his work I just became one of his biggest fans. His variety of caricature subjects is amazing. This was a perfect time for me to grab a whole bunch of his Santas and other carvings and look them straight in the eyes. Steve's carving style (especially the eyes) is way different than the others as is his style of teaching. Boy am I glad I did this round-up.

There were 5 instructors and as far as I know there were 60 students - you'll have to do the math - I'm too pooped to pop.

Ken wonderful that you got to have that experience, it looked like a great deal of fun and learning. I really appreciate the pictures. Especially I am stuck at my place for the last two years....

Thanks for sharing Ken. Steve's Eyes do look nice. Is he doing something different. Do you know what kind of knife he using, I like the shape of the handle. (the dark wood knives in your pics). Thanks again for sharing. Larry
