Default Remember that Tiny hat ?

Well, here's the bloke that owns it. Ol' 'arry is a bit of a loner so got himself a job as a Jackaroo on a station 'round 30 miles northeast of the Black Stump <grin>.......................Cheers

Actually, he measure 3 inches from the ground to the top of his hat,and is carved from jelutong. His saddle is carved from a single piece of brown tulip oak as is his frying pan and swag/bedroll. His horse is carved from baltic pine, and the axe is aluminium with a jarrah handle......reins and bridle are made with leather, some fusewire and a couple of small rings from an old cheap necklace.....the fire is charcoal and wood over cheap red glass beads and imitation rubiesfrom junky earings....the lot piled on a tiny round mirror from a parrakeets' toy to aid in reflecting light to give the "hot coals" effect

Well you couldn't have carved all that since the hat? huh?

Its fantastic, (new word for awesome)

I like the setup paint and love the scenery,

The photo in the back round really sets it off as outback as us Americans know it, who haven't seen it. but in tv & pics.

but i guess with another hat and an Arkansas scenery he could be cooking a possum here in the u.s.a. too..
but i think the horse and type of saddle would give it all away.

maybe if you put in the nag dynamite and remove the saddle change the hat you could call it a hillbilly...

don't know where hillbilly's get there hats, but you never see one of them with a hat worth borrowing.

i like the whole thing as it is john,,
thanks for letting us see it.

Wowsers! That is fantabulously awetastic! ;-) You must have a great deal of patience to create a piece like that. As I've said elsewhere on here, I am a great starter and terrible finnisher of projects. After getting back from NEWR I now have a total of about 8 projects that are partially completed. <sigh>

I guess I gotta discipline myself to not allow any NEW carvings until I COMPLETE the ones I already have going huh? Something like this would take me YEARS to complete.

Great job!

That is some mighty fine work!

I am impressed with the fire pit idea! That is a great idea. The scene is fantastic. Great detail for the size of the work, only 3" geze that must have taken some patience.

Thank you for sharing, I am very impressed!
