Gary,

Mr. Mertz has a little write-up on his website about Ralph here: WoodBeeCarver » Blog Archive RALPH E. LONG KNIVES There is also a link to Mr. Long's catalog and contact info. Don't know if Ralph is still at it or not. Last I checked with him some months ago he was. I wanted to buy some blades from him for my own custom handles, but he is pretty set on selling the entire knife, which in a way I can understand, but that is the only reason I do not have any of his tools. Everyone I've ever spoken to has a very high regard for the man and his tools.

I spoke with Ralph on the telephone last week. I had contacted him about his eye rounds and he told me he is having some health problems right now. I didn't ask about any knives but he might have some knives already made up to buy? His wife answers email or you can call him live. Paul
