Default Raising the bar

I have noticed how certain people devise a new technique that then becomes popular. Such as the feet on Harley Refsal's caricatures. Or Fred Coglow's super detailed faces. Can you think of any more?

YEp, Colin Partridge's tree spirits, Lynn Doughty's Western Carvings, Goody's Santas, Nancy G's santa's and her famous beards. just to name a few. On this board, there are Hundreds with different techniques. Teri Embery, Susan Irish, Nedra Dennison, I could go on with more but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
