Default Rage

The expression on this face came together as I was carving. When I finished it, he appeared to have an expression of rage so that's the title I gave him. He's approx 10 inches tall, carved in basswood with oil, sealer and wax.

A very stong expression indeed. The facial muscles and wrinkles are right on.
Wow!

One again sir you set the bar a little higher excellent expression and excellent carving. Patrick it is your attention to detail and symmetry that make your carvings so unique. No doubt on who carved it anyone knowing your carvings would know right away that it was yours without looking for the signature. You are to me one of the best carvers on this board I would just love to have 1/10th of your talent. I am so proud to own one of your carvings.

Hi Patrick,

wow- you are a master of facial expressions! I'm envious. It's always good to expand your skill set and not always do smiley faces. Your work is so realistic. Thanks for sharing!
