Has anyone ever tried applying rabbit skin glue beneath their paint? I know it is used as a sizing on canvas by painters. I bought some and wanted to try it on a few test boards with watercolor and acryic. It will be a few weeks before I get a chance to prepare the glue. I saw a carving years ago that was done that way; it was interesting if not impressive. |

Hi Rick...I haven't used the glue myself but you might want to check out http:/whittling.com for some info. The site is owned by Larry Spinak who uses Rabbit Glue in painting his carvings. He does some great work and is quite willing to answer any questions if you contact him by e-mail. Speaking of rabbits, by coincidence he has an article on carving a pin in the latest issue of WCI...Reg |
