Default Questions about the Enlow Santas Study Stick and Booklet

I am thinking about buying the Enlow Santas Study Stick and Booklet. But I have some questions.

Does the Enlow Santas Study Stick and Booklet show how to carve Santa's Nose, Eyes and Mouth?

What size basswood practice stick should I be using? 1 Inch x 1 Inch or larger?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi
It shows roughly how to do the features but there is actualy a separate stick for learning eyes and lips as well as one for noses. the main book for faces recomends wood 1.5 x 2 but i'm sure thats aprox.
Just got both for Christmas and picked up some basswood today to try.
Good luck

Neil

I got one of r Christmas as well and it shows it pretty well how to carve the facial features. Maybe not as good as the specific stick on just the eyes or nose or ears, but god enough believe. I have been carving off of 2 x 2 x 3 blocks

I use 1.5 x 1.5 blocks from 8-12 inches long. This size just fills better in my hands.
