Question for BC Carvers At the end of the summer I'm moving from Calgary to Enderby, BC and I would love to find out what native trees have good thick bark for doing my wood spirits in. I plan on taking a, shall we say, large collection of the Black Poplar bark with me, but at some point that is going to run out and I need to know what to look for as well as where to look. My sister is already collecting drift wood for me which has to dry before I can use it although what she has picked up for me so far has some wonderful colours in it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
By the way, Enderby is half way between Salmon Arm and Vernon.
Thanks!
