Default Proxxon service

Since I've talked about Proxxon tools figured I'd tell you about my 'service' experience with them. My Proxxon reciprocating carving had lost power. I called Wayne at MDI Woodcarving Supplies (where I bought it), he gave me an 800 number to call.
I spoke to a very nice lady there that said to send just the carver to them (not the case and blades), they would check it the day it came in, decide if it could be repaired and immediately either fix or replace it. One week later UPS shows up with a new carver, case and blades included (which thrilled me, I've already mentioned how much I liked the blades that came with it).
The new ones carves beautifully, needless to say, I'm very happy with their service! Callynne

Default Re: Proxxon service

Callynne,
Glad to hear that you recieved such great service with your Proxxon carver. I tried the Proxxon except it was not enough power for what I do. I had a similar experience with Arbortech. My reciprocating carver was sparking and wearing out the chisels. I am dealing with Arbortech in Australia as we do not have a dealer in Canada. They are also excellent to deal with they are sending me what ever I need to fix my carver if all this fails they have requested I send it back and they will repair or replace also. Nice to see in this day and age a product where they stand behind what they sell.
Colin
