Default Prove to myself I could do it again.

9.5"x5.5"x3.0 ,Basswood, finish Teak Oil, Poly U, and Watco Dark Wax.
Glued 2 pcs. to get 3.0" thickness. I bought the Roughout for the other Mt Man, but this one I made my own to prove to myself I could do it. I'm satisfied the way it turned out. I carved the large Feather about 3 yrs.ago and it was laying around of no use and thought it would fit in with this carving. The small Feather is glued on, but the large one is held on by Ref. Magnets. for dusting purposes. Hey Guys your comments are always welcome.. Merle

Hey Forrest, thanks for Flattering words about my man, I really do appreciate your comments and our little chats. This one I started with a Chunk of wood and made chips. Speaking of chips I have some cleaning up to do, the Wife has been at Norfolk ,Va. at Grand Daughters for a week and she comes home today. She hasn't seen this carving yet. After she does she will know what I have been doing while she was away Ha,Ha. Stay Well Ole Friend, Again thanks. Merle

Merle after your last one there was no doubt you could do it even better, you have. The finish does it proud. I finally see what you meant by the burning of the eye's,I'll have to try that.

Well you certainly proved you could. Awsome carving. I wonder how many more mountain men are trapped in wood that are waiting to appear?
