| | Re: Pretty Lady Nicely done, a simple yet ellegant piece. Your daughter should be very happy to find that under her tree. I like the grain ....how it flows into the design, and very glad you finished it naturally.
Well done.

| | Re: Pretty Lady Hello Greyhair,
That's an awesome carving. I love the way you used the natural wood to enhance the carving. What's the wood---what finish did you use? How big is the carving?
Your daughter is a lucky young lady. I've found that my kids and grandkids love to get carvings from me and I hope and believe the carvings will be around long after their video games have worn out and they've outgrown me!
Good Job and thanks for sharing!

| | Re: Pretty Lady nice carving, a little hard to tell by the pictures, assuming it is a stylized carving....the wood has a sheen that almost looks like cypress knees! Good job! |

| | Re: Pretty Lady Looks like a keeper there Greyhair-- The sculpture looks superb in size, ratio, anatomy, and of course the outstanding use of grain in relation to the flow of the subject. Thanks for sharing. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
