Default powerstrop

being new iin the carving, iwould like to know if the powerstrop can do a
decent job on a press drill.thank you! parkwayman

I made one and used it for years. In fact I still use it. I don't know if you are planning to make one or buy one.
If you want to make one it wil only cost a couple of dollars. I made an 8" disc out of some scrap 3/4" MDF I found by the road. Place a 1/4" bolt or metal bar in the exact center. I used aluminum 3/8" rod but anything will work. I then put some thin scraps of leather on both sides of the disc. This allowed me to strop both sides of a knife. It works great.

I used it and I do like it. I now use a 1 x 30" belt sander with a leather belt, I like it much better.
