Doug, Your statement about "geezerhood" and power carving may need expanded upon. I have several questions: 1) is "geezerhood" defined as an attitude or an actual age? 2) if it is an age, what is the age? 3) I'll be 67 on my next birthday - how much time do I have? TOM H

I suppose it could be defined either way. I was referring to both and I can't tell you exactly when it occurs as it creeps in when you least expect it. I wouldn't expect you youngsters to understand it. It seems like just a coupla weeks ago I was 18 years old and graduating from high school, when actually it was 56 this May. I would say you better look out or you will turn around and you'll be an old geezer without even knowing it happened. But I'll tell you one thing, I would have to think long and hard before I'd go back if I had the chance. For the mathmatically challenged it makes me 74 this month.

Yup, good bits, and here is an address to buy them at good prices. http://store.s-smedical.com/didebu.html

Hugh, Can you give us some additional information on the BITS that one can purchase at the site you included? I am mainly interested in the sizes of the shafts and how the they fit the carving hand piece, and the type of these dental bits that you would recommend. Thanks TOM H

Hugh,
More questions: Do you use the single use or the multiple use bits?

Thanks!!

Hugh, like Tom, I have questions. I like the price on the bits at the site you recommended.

What are the shank sizes and lengths? My dentist gave me some nice bits; but, they sure do have short shanks on them. Because of that, I do not use them as much as I would like. Too bad, as he throws away bits that still have an extremely long use period for my carving.
