I am seeing more and more absolutely wonderful miniature carvings lately. The question I have is about entering carving competition with these miniatures. Are power carved miniatures judged seperately from Knife and/or gouge carved miniatures? Tom H |

Tom: It likely depends on the individual show. The two shows I often attend here in VA don't differentiate. To me, there's no difference. The cutting edge on a rotary tool is much smaller, and moves much faster, than the knife in my hand. In both cases though, it's a something sharp cutting wood. Claude |
