Default A (possible) Copout

To all of the forum members:

I've been a member of the forums since December, 2008 and try to chip in with advice when I think I can help. However, sometimes, I only get to view the posts every couple of days or so, and sometimes there are two or three pages of comments by the time I see them. Quite often, I skim through the posts pretty quickly and don't take the time to praise the hard work of the carvers here as they richly deserve.

On that note, I really love viewing the pictures and reading the comments and advice of all of the wonderful people who contribute to this forum. I am continually impressed with the level of talent here, some of which I consider to be museum quality and have not seen it's equal elsewhere.

To all of the beginners, I haven't seen a piece that you can't be proud of. Each piece shows the time and care that you have put into it and is truly unique and a part of you.

So to all, keep carving and I'll do my best to chime in when and where I can.

Best to all!
Bill (Aiken, SC)

Bill, I have to agree with you on the care and time others put in on their work. (A hearty "HERE!HERE!" inserted here.)
I don't see what you said as a cop out in any way.
When you do what you can, when you can, how can anyone else expect more?????

You said it best when you said, "So to all, keep carving and I'll do my best to chime in when and where I can." That's about the best that any of us can do but I know how you feel sometimes when you can't get to all the great postings that deserve our attention. Personally, I already work a very full time job so I also just do the best that I can and usually comment on one or two postings each day at random. Just don't have that much time but I like this place and want to at least keep "touching base". Just keep doing what you can and when you can but don't feel guilty if you can't.
