Default Plans for carving stand for logs wanted

Somewhere back in time I came upon plans for a stand to hold logs for carving. Now I can't find the article again. Can anyone direct me? I'm wanting a stand that holds logs. This wasn't just a sawhorse but a bit more complicated.

Sounds like you are looking for a shaving horse.
If so try these plans

Thanks for the link but a shaving horse isn`t what I remember. What I recall is a cradle that will hold a large log and lets you carve standing up. You can tilt the log at different angles. Probably made from 2 X 4`s. Again, Thanks.

You might look here on the left side of the page Carving Tip 12

I believe I have seen what you are talking about, like an X-shaped cradle to put the log in, only it slants. Some people use the "JawHorse" vise, but not sure if that is as big as you want.

Are you thinking it was that home made bowling ball thing? Some chainsaw carvers use a duct jack for small to med size you know logs under 4' and that weigh less than 300lbs.
