Question In need of a plan....

I am wanting to make some more log furniture and I would like to find a home-made plan for cutting tenons in the end of small cedar logs (1" to 2" round). I do not have the tenon cutting tools and would like to find an alternative way to cutting them. Any comment is welcomed.
Thanks in advance.

Default Re: Plan or jig needed please...

I cut tenons freehand by starting with a chainsaw or Lancelot. I then use an angle grinder to fine tune them. If you are cutting round tenons you can buy circle templates for layout and to check your progress. For small logs like you are working on, you can cut them with just the angle grinder starting with a 36 grit disc.
