Default Pit Bulls

Back in Dec a woman where my sister-n-law works emailed me about painting a friend of hers pit bull dogs. Since that time shes changed her mind I know 10-12 times,can I do this or that,once I told her about carving them,yea I like that too!

I haven heard from her since the 1st wk of Jan this year till this past Friday,are my dog ready?? I wrote her back,Nope Ive not even started on them,since Ive not heard from you any more. She wrote me right back,I want them by the 30th,carved. I wrote her back,I need a deposit for half of my money which I always get to start on a project which pays for my supplies,etc. { But in her case,I didnt want to spend my time carving the dogs and with her being so Iff--eee } Plus I told her,I have 2 nice new cutting boards to carve the dogs on.{Id bought the cutting boards in Dec.}

She wrote back Friday again,Im senting the total amount by Debbie,my sister in law this evening to you and would you """PLEASEeeeeeeee"" do the dogs for me.

Ckn with my Sister-n-Law Sat. Morning sure enough,she sent me the total cost in cash. LOL She sent 2 picts of the dogs,both was sitting down and she wanted the boy dog,named Lucky to be a full body carving,his mother Maggie she wanted sitting like in the picts. Plus she wanted thier names on them.{which I cut them into the boards}

Sooooooooo Sat. I spend 4 hrs drawing the 2 dogs then relief carved the 2 dogs out,then I dont like working on a Sunday,but I painted them and they are finished. But after taken theses picts,the one dog thats standing,Lucky,his nose & mouth is too small plus I need to lighten up his color all around.I will repaint him in a few mins.

The cutting boards are 8 X 11 inches with the 2 pits relief carved.

Your thoughts are welcome. Thks Forrest

That Pit Bull is the mirror image of the photo - well done on both carvings.

Don't be too quick to change Lucky's face. That picture of him looks like it was taken with a fairly short lens, and I bet it's a little distorted. The carving probably looks more like him than the photo.

Thanks Tommy! I know too in the pict,if a flash was used,he would be alot lighter in color. If the lady would have called me,Id drove over and took picts myself of her friends dogs.Besides the male dog is alot younger than the mother dog so he would have a smaller nose & mouth? I appreciate your good information Tommy! Thks again,Forrest
