Default Picturetrail Woodspirits

Hi gang,
As promised I have posted a few of the carvings I did last week on the picture trail site in the woodspirit album. A woodspirit that I carved from a piece of Arbutus wood that I found some years ago walking on the beach in Washington State. The Plum carving that I carved from a piece of wood off of my friends woodpile. Lastly two hiking staffs that I carved one out of Spruce Balsum and the other out of Eastern White Cedar. At this time of year most of my wood is under four feet of snow so the bigger carvings will have to wait for the spring thaw. As you can see by the pictures we still have lots of snow here although we have lost about two feet in the last week. Any comments good or bad and contructive criticism is also very welcome.
Colin

James I still have the owl you had to mention that didnt you now you have me feeling guilty. I just dont have the expertise to do birds I have that owl that I have to finish, a kingfisher that I probably will never finish along with a blue bird, 2 mallards, a bufflehead, and a full size loon that will probably be there when I pass on. The owl though as you know was started by my friends uncle who died suddenly of a heart attack and he wants me to finish it. I just dont feel that he wanted me to finish it thats why it hides on me all the time.
