There has been a note the last couple of days when I bring up this site to the effect that I have not been posting in quite a while. While I read all of the new postings every day I seldom feel that I have all that much to contribute so just enjoy your posts. I decided that since someone actually noticed that I hadn't been posting I would break the ice with a couple of pictures of some of my more recent work. Gotcha.jpg The Quartet.jpg Torso.jpg |

Very, very, nice work. The female form looks almost real...the detail is eceptional except it's missing some parts! What was the thought around truncating her limbs instead of carving a whole form? Just curious?

This pattern was from the Ian Norby book. It makes for a nice practice carving on the female form. Dick |

with work like that I wish you would post more pic's. I love looking at great work and your carvings are just that...great! I have that book by Ian and a few others by him and have admired his work, especially the female forms he does. I would love to "study" and carve in that area more...but my wife draws the line there on my subjects so I'll just have to settle with admiring your carved figure. great work on the western pieces too. |

Good looking work, especially the torso. I think I saw the model for it on CSI a few weeks ago. |
