Hey everyone! We just finished our fall show and carve in today. We sit and carve, display our carvings and generally have a big time. The show is open to the public and we had a great turnout again this year. We usually manage to entice at least a couple of new carvers each year! Enjoy! |

Scott, I enjoyed the photos......especially the one with the wood duck. When I clicked on it I thought, "that hummingbird embodies the true spirit of these pugnacious flying jewels" (I feed 70+ ruby throats each summer). I don't know how the species survives as they spend more time fighting than feeding. I enlarged the photo to 200% to get a better look (good job with your photography, everything was still clear). Then realized that I was looking at an optical illusion and not a carved hummer! Take a look over the back of the real hummingbird in the photo with the wood duck.

Thanks for looking, glad you all enjoyed them. Paul, That is a carved hummer in the pic with the wood duck. The photo below the duck is what she used to get the colors right. We have very talented people in our club! Scott |
