Default Pfiel gouges

Just curiouse if anyone has looked at Pfiel gouges at woodcarvingsupplies.com.

A Pfiel #7 14mm at Woodcraft is $34.99. The woodcarvingsupplies has it for $27.95 canadian/$18.17 U.S. dollars.

Am I missing something here? Are they the same? I am ready to purchase a few gouges and this seems like a 'no brainer'

You're right! YOu can save a bunch by buying in Canada. You can also go to KSM Tools, on-line or through their catalog. KMS will ship a dozen gouges to the US for about $!0.00. They sell full size Pfeil sets for about $225.00.

I bought several Pfeil gouges from KMS and their service was great. I'm making a list of some unusual gouges I want for my next order. Some items are back-ordered, which is one of the problems Woodcraft is having with Pfeil. KMS posts a list of those Pfeil items on their web-site.

Can't remember the address, but just type kms tools into google and that will get you the web site and the address is there if I remember correctly.

I have ordered almost all of my pfiel carving tools from KMS in Canada. I live in Georgia and the shipping time was very quick, the service was terrific. They were very patient with me fully explained the difference in currency. Shipping was very reasonable. I recommend them highly. I ordered a set of tools, and used one of their sales posted as a flyer on their web site to get them with a discount. Great deal! Oh yeah, and I love my tools.

I go look at the tools at Woodcraft in Roswell, come home and order them from KMS.
