Peter Ortel CCA member will be on TV on the DIY network channel on 12/06/05
at 6:30p.m. eastern time.His project will be a caricature fireman.Vic Hood was
on tonite,did't find out till it was to late.

There are carving shows all week at 6:30 on DIY. I don't get diy but I've got a friend who does who's taping them for me.

Maybe Fox Chapel publishing--who's, in its great all-knowing wisdom partnered with DIY to show the carving segments--could maybe like--puh--leeeeeze, ohhhh, pretty puhleeeeeze--sniffle, snort, face down to the ground

with a lip pouting out to California--snort, sniffle---like maybe, if you might, like, sell a video or DVD of the segments for us poor, underprivileged people who have Cablevision with umpteen thousand channels of everything except the glorious, fantastic, wonderful DIY channel which--oh, we could die for! Like, oh, WOW!!! IT's out of this world!!!

Hey BobD! Did I pour it on thick enough?

If not, would it help if I said I've been a good boy all year, and I always eat my vegetables?

Hey WCI, Bob has a great idea. I am with Liferescue in not able to get DIY with all of the upteen thousand channels on Cable. Bob and I will hold our breath till WCI or FOX comes up with a DVD. Our Blue faces will be on your hands. Opppssss maybe I shouldn't speak for Liferescue. I AM TURNING BLUE!

We've been holding our breath as well...but it's really out of our hands...DIY has done all the production, etc., on it's own--

The best I can say is call up your cable company and complain! If enough people complain, perhaps we can make changes!

That and I heard about a proposed FCC change that requires Cable companies to let you choose channels a la carte...push for that as well...

I just upgraded to DIY because my wife wanted the scrapbooking stuff. On Direct TV, it's like $5 more a month for the package upgrade that has DIY...

BLUE?!? BLUE?!? Try POIPLE with rage and GREEN with envy!!! (Boy, do I look funny!) And to think I ate all those vegetables for nuttin', BobD!!! LOL

Did the write to cable people bit...ha-ha!! A lot of good that'll do! They're too busy crying poverty over the a la carte deal that they're fighting. Poor poor cable people! I feel so bad for them....NOT! And satellite won't work because of the neighbor's trees. He has the trees and couldn't get a signal. So he goes to cable and saves the trees. I'm stuck with cable, I get to clean up his leaves in my yard, and I can't watch DIY! It just ain't right I tell ya!

BobD, Hmmmm, Scrapbooking program, just what the wife wants. She is a scrapbooker from way back when it started and between my tool addiction and her scrapbooking addiction, We could have retire sooner on the money spent. Well worth every penny. I understand what you are saying but a DVD would be nice.

Yep, I hear you on the cable people. Got same response about how poor they are. I know what I pay them monthly and with the PC on Broad band also. To think we are the customers, but not getting what we want. They don't even offer DIY channel on any of their packages. And some they do offer, well, down right nasty. Guess there are more people who want the nasty channels than those of us wanting the DIY channel. But, letters and personnal visits to the office may help. I know they are tired of looking at my ugly mug.

Santa, Liferescue and I would like DIY channel for Christmas. Can't vouch for him but I have bee a good boy, Sort of. I guess, If I have to be!

I just can't wait for all that coal...er...uh...um....carving stuff Santa's going to bring me! And DIY would be great, too!

Can't believe you all cryin' about not getting DIY on cable. I live 6 miles North of the city limits and can't get cable of any kind. Have considered a dish but haven't heard too many reports on them good or otherwise. Besides, the local TV channels are free and I'm to tight to pay the dues for dish or cable.

No crying, just holding our breath! Crying is a wetness and snotty nose. Holding breath, one turns BLUE, BLUE, BLUE and puffed up cheeks. Hmmmm, I resemble that, snotty nose, blue and puffed out cheeks.

Carver, You may be better off as you don't know what you are missing. Cable ain't what it is cracked up to be and I am betting Dish isn't either.
My daughter and son in law has dish but not all the channels where they get DIY. You would think your own daughter would get the DIY channel so her POOR old Pa could watch it. And here I thought I raised her right. Must be on her mother's side.

Of course on days like today where the temp isn't above freezing and snow coming, I would rather be in the recliner checking the insides of my eyelids. To dang cold to be in shop(no heat now). Pulled the wood burner out to add on to shop/garage, buuuuuuuuuuuut, haven't got it finished.
