Default Paw found his dog

I been seeing paw wondering the hills lately looking for his old dog. Hes been missing for a week now. I tried to give him another dog but he said it looked like a pig and wouldnt take it. ol paw is one rough character his hearts made of knotty pine, I think thats why he's lived so long, 126 years ? who knows. Good news is his dog came back and luckily the rains last night drove the rattlers away fer a while or we couldve had some problems.

This ol hillbilly and his dog are carved in some pine. I like this dog better than the last one I posted, he looks more like a dog and not a pig, or a backwards bear with a pigs head growing out his rear end. Must've used two diifernt pieces of pine on account of the hillbilly was probably the hardest piece of pine I ever lyed my eyeballs on. The dog is finished with shoe polish and poly, hillbilly aint got any sort of finish on him.

Hope you like looking at these little carvings, i sure had fun making them. next I'll carve maw and the kids, maybe some chickens?

Thanks for looking, yours comments are always welcome

Alex
