I was wondering if anyone had a pattern for a caricature giraffe and another one of a caricature elephant. Thanks for the help.

Best way to find one is to go to Google.com, put "giraffe cartoon" or "elephant cartoon" in the search area. When the list comes up, click on "Images" in the upper left corner of the page, and you'll see hundreds of them. Print out the ones you like and either trace them or just draw on the block of wood to match the cartoon. Claude |

Unfortunately, it looks like you're a day late and a dollar short. I thought that I had just what the Doctor ordered for you but the two URL's that I saved are both bad. http://www.blackhawkcarving.com/pattern.htm used to be a great site with all kinds of animal paterns but it's no longer up. Sorry. Sounds like unless someone saved one of those old patterns that Claude's idea might be your next best choice.

Okay! You're in luck! I did some digging and found two giraffe patterns for you. You know, there is a ton of free stuff out on the web, all you've got to do is take the time and look for it. In this case all I did was go through all the clubs that had websites and then if they didn't offer patterns I checked the links that they offered to see if any of their resources offered patterns...and Voila! Pearl River Wood Carvers It's worth the time and effort to see what's out there and save as many of the free patterns that are offered as you can because just as you're now looking for a giraffe and an elephant, you never know what you'll need in the future. Good luck!
