| | Pattern Does anyone out there know where I can get a full size carousel horse pattern? There must be some enterprise that sells them, but try as I might, I have come up short. |

| | Re: Pattern I think I recall seeing a book on carving carousel horses by Bruce White in the Wood Carvers Supply, Inc. catalog. Their web site is: www.woodcarversupply.com
Not sure if its what you're looking for but I hope this helps!

| | Re: Pattern There are lots of books on the subject but I have seen few full-size plans. I carve miniatures (10-12" long) and I get my patterns from pictures of full-size figures (see some of my work in the carvers gallery.)
Try this web site. They sell kits in various stages of completion, right from the block glueups to finished horses/animals. I don't see plans listed but they might offer them or it might be just as feasible to buy one of their basic wood kits. http://carouselmagic.com/catalog/index.htm |

| | Re: Pattern Saud,
There's a lady in Brattleboro, VT who carves full sized horses and animals, but she also hosts workshops once or twice a year. I thought I had her card, but, alas, my housekeeping has run amuck! Her name is Dana and her husband is Bryan and he is the administrator of the Brattleboro hospital. I know I'm not spelling her last name correctly because I can't find it in the phone directory but it's something like Mittermier. Can anyone out there in that neck of the woods help us?
She's a really nice lady and I'm sure she could help you if we can find her name.

| | Re: Pattern There is an annual chip chats that is dedicated to "advertising" all comers and their products, and I know that I saw someone selling full size patterns. If you have some old chipchats take a look if not let me know and I will look through mine and find it. |

| | Re: Pattern Bob---That's it...Show Me! Thanks..I was thinking I'd lost most of my memory. Dana is her first name. Awesome carver and I think that Carousel animals (mostly horses) are all she does. Try emailing her. Tell her that Donna from Missouri who has a daughter in her town told you to contact her.
Good luck!
