Friends, I'm looking to raise a response from Roger Strautman, message board member who posted his intertwined ribbon block carving a while ago that truly amazed me. I copied the image and put it in my photo morgue along with a statment make by Roger about how he made it: "Each ribbon being first cut in place as a tube shape that runs from the bottom to the top and then later cut that tube so it will look flat like a ribbon..." I plan to do a glue up stack of 2+" think basswood block and carve something like this. Roger, if you're out there please let me know. I would like to ask you for some more detailed information.
