Default Paging Roger Strautman & Ribbon carving

Friends,

I'm looking to raise a response from Roger Strautman, message board member who posted his intertwined ribbon block carving a while ago that truly amazed me.

I copied the image and put it in my photo morgue along with a statment make by Roger about how he made it:
"Each ribbon being first cut in place as a tube shape that runs from the bottom to the top and then later cut that tube so it will look flat like a ribbon..."

I plan to do a glue up stack of 2+" think basswood block and carve something like this.

Roger, if you're out there please let me know. I would like to ask you for some more detailed information.

Thank you in advance,

Russ Lavigne
