Ornaments for Shaycee

Colin and Jim Q,
Recieved your ornaments today.
Colin, Neat Bark wood spirit and your note to Shaycee brought tears to my eyes. Love that wood spirit. I have always wanted to see your work up close and now I have and it is awsome.

Jim Q, What an ornament or should I say carving! Yes it is a Christmas ornament/carving as well as it can be left out all year long. Shaycee will love the Cowboy. The detail and the eyes. To paint eyes like that, I would ,,, well, I wish I could. Some day.

Thank you gentlemen from the bottom of my heart. Your Caring and thoughtfullness is overwhelming. You will bring a big smile to a neat little girl's face as well as to her parents which are equally neat people.

The ornaments/carvings have been delieverd To Shaycee even tho, I did not get to visit with her as her blood count is to low. She didn't get to go to school this week because of it. But her mother will give them to her. Thanks again.

Just returned home from Joplin and lo and behold, a package! Yep, For me! Nah only addressed to me but one of the neatest ornament in Dave Dunlap's style. I loked and looked at it, turned over and looked some more. The eyes and the smile Dave, You capture the smile of Shaycee as her's is usually as big as her face.
Dave, thank you also from the bottom of my heart for making a brighter day for Shaycee. They are not back from Tulsa where Shaycee went to have some testing done on her blood. I am praying her blood count is up. Every day, My Granddaughter calls to Shaycee's house to find out how her Bestest in the whole wide world friend is doing. Sometime she crys as she can't talk to Shaycee as Shaycee is asleep. However, she understands. Anyways, we try explaining to her.

Kenny she is in my prayers everyday and night if we all pray for her it would make a huge difference. Thank you for letting us know she recieved the carvings and we all hope it brought some joy into her life. Most of all thank you Kenny for letting us do something for that little girl.

Outstanding stockings. Love the shape and colors.
Thank you also, for your thoughtfullness and caring.
One has been delieverd to my Granddaughter and she loved it and had a big smile on her face. Shaycee's will be delieverd tomorrow morning as I have a couple more of mine to take to her and her little brother. Well, I made one for each of the kids and the parents also. Again, I really appreciate your concerns for this little girl.

Just found this thread, and I have from personal experance known the "pain" of dealing with a "sick child". My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I also can be a good listener. And having gone thru a child with cancer know and understand what emotions they are dealing with. So if need be I'm there to talk too.

GaryMc,Again Thank you but the brother is taken care of on an ornament. Rick was gracious to allow me to carve total of about 15(lost count) of his pattern Santa Ornament and Will deliever them Tuesday at the preschool where my GSon and the brother of Shaycee attends. Santa will be there to hand them out in his new red suit( I have no idea why my little bride did it but Santa has a new suit). I greatly appricate you wanting to carve an ornament for him but, what you have done as Colin, Jim Q,Dave and Ron have also,has been overwhelming and your prayers are great also. I believe in the power of prayers as Shaycee's parents. They feel great that men and women who don't know them Think enough of her to carve their daughter an ornament. Again, them being Christians have gotton them through this and Shayne(Shaycee's father) said he is humbled by the thoughtfulness of you all.


Here I am blathering on and on.
