Angry One of Those Days.

Well, it was one of those days. I was inspired behond belief and was going to carve a working decoy. I got everything lined up and my band saw decided it was going to have a day off. (I know I was taking the lazy way out and bandsawing out the rough shape of the deke.)

Anyway the guide blocks (cool blocks) on my Sears bandsaw wore out and my blade was going every way but straight. I ruined the first piece I was working on. I turned the blocks around with no luck and wrecked a second effort. I said a few choice wordsHead Bange and then remembered what my daughter taught me to say many years ago after such episodes. "Sorry God".

Well needless to say I'm no longer in the carving mood. It was just one of those days.

Gergie, I just got finished having one of those days myself. I tried two different times on two different pieces of wood to get started on the same Santa pattern. I just couldn't get it going so finally gave up and found me a completely different Santa pattern to work on. Anyway, hang in there! Your decoys are beautiful and definitely worth the effort!!

Here's to wishing us both good carving karma for today!!

Joy

Gergie... When I have a day like that I always try to keep in mind a saying that I heard a long time ago. It helps me keep things in perspective!

"Some days you're the dog and some days you're the hydrant!

There's always tomorrow!
