Default From one project to another

I took some time this morning to clean up my workbench. (It had been, oh, a few years since the last cleaning I think.) This involved taking down the pattern of "The Homestead". (pictured below, as see at the congress) Which I'd pinned up last July, kind of weird to take it down.

But I've got another project now. Hopefully this one will not take as long.

Hello Dylan,

I am very impressed. Obviously you've paid attention to the use of tools working w/ your father. You've also got a good sense of balance and design.

Thanks for posting your work.

Hi Dylan,
Glad to see a post by you this morning. The pictures are beyond ....just, beyond!
Love your work as always, and will keep up with this as you progress.
Cleaning the work table? It is kind of confusing and refreshing at the same time isn't it?
Take care,
Thor

Hello hello! I really love your carvings! I checked out your site too I love that you carve everyday life. Just beautiful! It's hard to finish a project and "put it away" but as soon as you are wrapped up in this new one, you'll be just fine! Moving on!

Beautiful work Dylan! Really nice web site you have there too. You're doing such great work at such a young age (compared to most of us "older" folks here), that I am certain you'll be truly outstanding by the time you reach mid-life like us. Keep up the FANTASTIC work.

That homestead relief is just gorgeous.

hello dylan, you do beautiful carvings :-) your new project is coming along wonderfully already :-) ... i have visited your website, and read your tutorials, and, since your relief carvings have such an amazing depth, the new one you are showing here seems to have the little trees cut free (?) even, and in the portrait the area behind the glasses is difficult to carve, and it looks great !... yes, i like to know if you did that with chisels and powertools mixed, or did you do that with chisels only, or with powertools only ... i am only curious since you showed your tools on your homepage, my question is not intended to make one minor or more, to me is good what does the job ... amazing work, dylan, and i hope we will see much more from you :-)

Hi Dylan, agree it's great to see your excellent work again. Those that have seen your work in person are really lucky.
I wanted to mention I think it's great to took the artist eye to adjust the rose pedal position. Makes the composition much more interesting. Excellent work!

Hi Dylan,
Your new project is coming along nicely. Hope to see more pictures!
I am the same way before starting a new carving. I takes me a long time to carve so when you clean up to start something else after spending several months carving. It is almost like a loss of some kind you spend so much time with the carving and then it's gone but then the excitement of the next carving quickly makes that feeling go away.
