Default old world santa

Hi all, I needed to have a carving for our Christmas pt luck dinner. The table with the least amount of carvings eats last. So I picked a carving from the santa showcase book. It was a bit more difficult than i had antisapated but I struggled through. I can't take credit for the painted as that is my girl friends work and I think she done a great job. I didn't seal it and she used acrylics to paint it. I then put on three coats of water based polly and will put on a coat of feed & wax before the dinner. Comments always welcome.

Hi Feb,

great job on the carving. I like the old world Santas myself. Thank your girlfriend for doing a great job on the paint, too.

Thumbs up Re: old world santa

Really nice job Feb .. the struggle is part of the fun of it .. especially when you finish it and realize next time you wont have to struggle so much ..

your carving is really good and Iam jealous because your lucky enough to have someone who will paint it for you .. Thats the part I enjoy least ..

excellent attempt and you succeeded ..
