| | Ok, I know this subject was discussed BUt In operating the dremel, The hand piece gets hot. Do I have the hand piece inserted to far or is this the nature of the beast. The Metal wrapping around the cord attached to the hand piece got really hot this morning after about a 1/2 hour of use. But, It was handy as I was creating pedals on a rose. Beats the knife like I have been doing it.
Sorry for asking a repeated question but looked back in beginners and General for last couple of months and did not find it. I was thinking it was dicussed or cussed but then, Who knows about my mind. Well the little bride would be glad to tell you. |

| | Re: Ok, I know this subject was discussed BUt I have started using slick 50 in the cables and in fact in most of my tools that are metal to metal movement.....works great! the slick 50 actually penetrates the metal giving a permanent lubrication. |

| | Re: Ok, I know this subject was discussed BUt Hi Kenny,
If you bend your flex shaft too much while you're carving, it will get hot and eventually burn out your shaft. Â*Hang the unit in such a way that you can keep the flex shaft as straight as possible. Â*Some carvers like to mount or affix it to the table and others like to hang it suspended above their work. Â*
I haven't tried the slick 50---that's something else new I need to try!
How's the hand working now that it's had several weeks of retirement and no cast? (I'm going to Wichita for a bird carving workshop this weekend--so keep the bad weather out of that part of Kansas....please, oh please!)

I was wondering about the angle of the shatf, If I bent it to much? Thanks. You know, Bave's suggestion on Slick 50 should help as there are several around here uses it in their vehicles.
BTW, We are head to Missouri this weekend. They say the wealther will be in the 60's at the lake. Now, we are suppose to have rain on Friday but clearer Sat. But then that is 140 mile south west of Wichita.
