lorax, God go with you on your journey. I'm a misplaced Yooper, stayed in Missouri after retiring from the Army, the winters don't get as cold or last as long as they do in the U.P. so my wore-out bones don't hurt as bad here in Janurary as they do up there in June

Remember, war souvenirs sell pretty good on ebay, just don't try taking anything you're not allowed!

I'm glad some of you thought this post was OK, I only received one 'hate email' from it, can't please everyone! Maybe there will be enough noise made on the internet about media coverage and something may get done...right :-/

Don't expect a whole lot of positive support from the regular media.......note they didn't choose to show the murder of that guy, but keep harping on the prison issue. I don't care to see that video, but this country should be outraged, as the rest of the world should!

Some things just need to be said, and they were said well here. How many soldiers who are proudly serving our country will be killed as a result of the media blitz over this prison issue. They keep dragging our country down and trying to make us look weak. During the Viet Nam war they did the same thing, and played a major role in the outcome of that war. Don't forget 9/11, like the media has. Those thoughts will bring to forefront why we are there.

Lorax, I'm sure the thoughts and prayers of many, many people are with you and your family, more than you can even imagine! Take care! Callynne

I haven't been able to stop thinking about the young man that was so cruely murdered in the video. Any sympathy that I might have felt for the Iraq people, was suddenly gone. The US is fighting a terrible enemy, an enemy that is far more devious than we as civilized people can imagine. . My prayers are with you also.

I was a tank gunner during the 1st gulf war. we will never understand that culture. we should have finished the job the first time. now the kids that were writing us letters have to finish the job we weren't allowed to finish. >

if i had to chose to have a leash on me for a few minutes or have my head hacked off. i'd chose the leash.
these islamic jihadists keep blowing up buildings , killing people all in the name of a so called religon of peace. religon of peace my $%^&*. religon of blood. born through blood.they tried to invade all europe in the 600's. the christian crusades were in response to their invasion of europe.
check out the history of the religon of war.

We would do well to remember that the 'Muslim Extremists' are really just criminals and political hacks who lost their patron when am went down the toilet. This is not about religion, this is about power and money, plain and simple. These goons keep the average Iraqi behind locked doors so we never hear from 95% of the people there. We did them a huge favor but we didn't really have to. We went there to form a democratic Islamic Republic in the big middle of a region controlled by Fat Arab Dictators who have no interest in democracy. They are in a good position to see this effort fails and we still get the bill. Put George W. Bush out of work in November! Pray for our Troops!
